Hi folks!
I wonder what would you do with a card or 1-2 cards in your otherwise tight deck, which will prove useful or even a game winning cards once in every 10 games, but just simply be discarded in the other 9 games? Should I keep it? Or should I replace it/them with cards that are always useful, just no game winners?
What's your point? Please comment?

It sounds like you have these cards in your deck already and are wondering if you should swap them out. If that is the case, I imagine you mean something like Scourge of the Enochians or The Uncoiling. Scourge is a really good card sometimes (take out a blocker, completely hose Tupdog, etc), so I'd leave that in.
ReplyDeleteSince I don't know what you're really talking about it is hard to judge. I once put Diamond Thunderbolt in a deck just to hose Gerentt's Spirit Marionnette cheese. It worked like a charm, but probably never again.
I am talking about my Dmitra Alastor deck to be specific. The cards I am talking about are Heroic Might, Preternatural Strength and Kevlar Vest. I have 1 of each in my deck. 9 out of 10 games I don't need them. In the 10th game they win me the game, like during the FCQ when my 5 strength Tara prevented Beast from disarming my entire ready region. In almost every game the Alastor + Assault is more than enough.
ReplyDeleteDid you notice if people became afraid of blocking "armless actions" like hunt, equip or political, because the acting Brujah has an Heroic Might?
ReplyDeleteThat might be harder to spot, but game changing nevertheless.
I would definitely keep the Heroic Mights.
Hoses lots of things.
Often enough you can't pass an Alastorvote. That's why Pret. Strength and Heroic Might is good in that deck. With it you don't have to rely on the political action.
